| Historic Hampton Roads.com. is a history documentation, marketing and history tour company specializing in the multitude of Hampton Roads' history resources and other small and non-profit businesses. My mission, both as a small business owner and a citizen of Hampton Roads, is to document the historic resources of our region and increase the awareness among our residents of the history resources available in the communities of Hampton Roads. This goal will be accomplished through various means: distinct signage, self-guided tours, web sites (Hampton Roads History and Penny Postcard Tour, Hampton Roads History Tours, Hampton Roads Tours, North Hampton Roads), and by optimizing other underutilized regional resources. | ||
| You will have the ability to watch the progress of our History Tour web site here. During July 2008 we uploaded our current Highway History Marker images and other data. As we complete our project, you will gain the ability to plan your own car, bicycle and/or walking tour (with or without meals and/or lodging) - all using only the historic resources of our region. Since history cannot be viewed at 65+ miles per hour, all tours will provide directions that use the Interstate system only when necessary. | ||
