"Virginia Hall and Library-Hampton Institute. Virginia Hall, the oldest of the large buildings now standing, was erected in 1874. It contains rooms for girls and teachers, dining rooms and a large chapel

now used as a girls study. The Huntington Memorial Library was dedicated in April 1903 by President Hadley of Yale University. It was the gift of Mrs. C. P. Huntington as a memorial to her husband, a former trustee. The Library has a capacity for 30,000 volumes."
