"NK-17---Bird's Eye View of Main Street, showing National Bank of Commerce, Norfolk, Va."

Description: "Main Street followed a ridge of high land, which in the original townsite was almost an island. As it was laid out in the division of the fifty original acres, the angles in it were made to avoid the two  creeks-Dunmore's ships lay along this street when he bombarded Norfolk, January 1, 1776."
